Funds raised by Cool Cars for Kids are targeted towards delivering care, providing support and driving research for children with rare genetic diagnoses to ensure a brighter future through the development of novel treatments and cures.
HOW OUR FUNDS ARE BEING USED
The Roberts Individualized Medical Genetics Center helps thousands of patients and establishes diagnoses of rare diseases that may have otherwise been missed, in turn allowing for improved management and treatment.
Cool Cars for Kids helps to fund specialty clinics within the hospital such as the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and Related Diagnoses Center as well as the newly formed Kabuki Syndrome clinic
July 13th, 2019, the first “CHOPS” Syndrome Meeting took place at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Nine families from across the world gathered for this special opportunity.
CCfK Small Grant Program 2022 Recipients
Cool Cars for Kids awarded 4 different grants to clinicians and researchers at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia last year with the money raised from the 2022 Philadelphia Concours event. CCfKs small grant program provided funding opportunities to support patient community and outreach as well as basic science research in rare genetic diagnoses. Each of the awardees were given funds for a one-year period to support their work and further our broader mission of raising awareness and accelerating research in the rare disease community.
