Michael Tillson III, President and Director (Pennsylvania)
Mike is founder of Tillson Motorcars and the Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance. He began his career rafting custom bodies with the Derman Body Co. in Rosemont, PA., and later with Algar Ferrari. He was also involved in international racing as a driver and car builder. Mike and his team currently compete in major exhibition and motor racing events around the country. Mike has merged his passion with classic cars to the mission of Cool Cars for Kids in bringing the Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance into existence. |
Paul Patitucci, Treasurer and Director (Pennsylvania)
Paul has worked in the Financial Services field for over 25 years. Paul’s concentration over this time has been helping both companies and their employees administer and invest their retirement plans. The goal has always been to help others retire with comfort and dignity. Recently Paul left the corporate world in order to start his own firm providing alternative financial solutions. Paul lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife Beth and two sons, Joe and Andrew. Joe has worked in the lab at CHOP, just graduated high school and will be attending Temple University in the fall. Andrew was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and has spent many days and nights at CHOP which makes Cool Cars for Kids a very important, very personal endeavor for Paul. |
Julie Mairano, Clerk and Director (Massachusetts)
Julie is a proud member of the Board of Directors of Cool Cars for Kids and an experienced nonprofit executive. As Executive Director of the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation for over 22 years, she led the organization through a period of substantial growth. As a parent of a daughter (Lisa) who lived for 34 years with CdLS she is inspired to make the Center for CdLS and Related Diagnoses a Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia a medical and research home for children with rare diagnoses. |
Sarah Noon, Secretary and Director (Pennsylvania)
Sarah is a Genetic Counselor and Clinical Director of the Center for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and Related Diagnoses at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Sarah is passionate about helping children and their families with rare genetic diagnoses and to do everything clinically possible to improve the health and happiness of these kids. Sarah brings her vision, esthetics, organizational skills and indomitable spirit to Cool Cars for Kids, Inc. and the Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance and is a driving force behind its success. |
Susan and David Fowler, Directors (New Jersey)
David spent 37 years at Chubb in a number of executive roles, undertaking consulting work in NYC and Harvard Business School. He is an avid boater in NJ, Cape Cod and FL. He has served on numerous not for profit boards.Susan is a former teacher and current owner of Down to Basics bedding business in Red Bank NJ for the last 26 years. They have two children - David 29 in commercial Real Estate in NYC and Logan 28 (who has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome) is living in Westbrook, CT in a program called Vista Innovations. They are Founding Donors of the Center for CdLS and Related Diagnoses at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They joined the CCfK Board of Directors in 2016 as Founding Members. |
Dr. Fred Simeone, Director (Pennsylvania)
After his graduation from University of Pennsylvania and Mayo Clinic residency, he joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School to practice neurosurgery. Later he was recruited to the University of Pennsylvania where he ultimately became professor and an active practitioner for 40 years. During this time he served the community, and developed a referral practice while he was engaged in research. He ultimately edited nine neurosurgical books and wrote over 100 papers. His avocation was studying automotive history, with a particular interest in sports cars and this led to a collection that represents the best cars of the five major countries active in international sports car racing. He retired from neurosurgery in June 2008 to create a Foundation and museum where he manages its educational mission. |
Susan Tatios, Director (Pennsylvania)
Susan is the manager at Mike Tillson Motorcars. She has been involved in the automotive and classic car field for over 25years and has judged at many top concours including Boca Raton Concours, Churchill Downs Concours, French Lick Concours, Radnor Concours, Hilton Head Concours, and others. Susan has a long-standing interest in helping children with developmental disorders both through her personal and philanthropic experiences. |
Dr. Laird Jackson, Director (Pennsylvania)
Laird is an Internist and Medical Geneticist, who has made several breakthrough contributions to the field of medicine, prenatal diagnostics and medical genetics. He has won several National awards and recognition for these numerous contributions. He was the first Medical Director for the CdLS Foundation and has had a life-long dedication to helping children and families with developmental disorders. Laird and his wife Marie are Founding Donors of the Center for CdLS and Related Diagnoses at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Laird joined the CCfK Board of Directors in 2016 as a Founding Member. |
Dr. Ian Krantz, Director (Pennsylvania)
Ian is a pediatrician and geneticist who has bene on the faculty at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Perelman School of Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania for over 20 years. Ian is both a clinician and basic scientist and his work is focused on finding the causes of rare genetic conditions and using that information to develop new therapeutic modalities. He has had a life-long love of classic cars and Cool Cars for Kids, Inc. and the Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance is the perfect way to bring those two worlds together to provide a top notch venue for amazing cars and to increase awareness of rare disorders and improve the lives of affected kids and their families. |
Richard Zaveta, Director (Pennsylvania)
Richard and Madeline Zaveta have been working in residential estate construction and historic renovations for over 35 years. Zaveta specializes in limited invasive development and substantive preservation of expansive specialty properties throughout Bucks County. Both Richard and Madeline were inspired by Dr. Laird Jackson’s dedication and passion of assisting children in need, as such they are working in the fundraising effort for Cool Cars for Kids, Inc. |
